Sports Camps 

Middle School Volleyball Camp: 5^th-8^th grades, July 20-21, Friday 5-8 pm, Saturday 10 am-2 pm. $50.

• 2018 Trinity Titan Volleyball Camp Medical Release Form

Archery Camp: 4^th-12^th grades at different times (see below) July 30-Aug. 3. $75.

• 9-11 am – 4th-6th grade (Beginner or Intermediate)
• 11:30 am-1:30 pm – 7th-12th Grade (Beginner-Advanced)

Music Camps 

Upper School Vocal camp – grades 7-12, July 23-27, 9am-12pm, Lower School

At this camp, students will have the opportunity to make choral music in a large ensemble, improve vocal technique, build music reading and sight singing skills, work on a variety of vocal and choral repertoire, and learn music theory.

• Break into sectionals for range-appropriate group voice lessons, and choir repertoire sectional work
• Listen to, study and practice examples from a survey of Medieval through Contemporary styles
• Collegiate music students and music professionals will be available for sectionals and 1-on-1 guidance
  • Private voice lessons offered throughout entire week at a rate of $10/30min lesson
• Get a head-start on preparing for upcoming auditions (All-state, GSA, school shows, community productions)

Price: $50 (or $80 total for students who participate in both Upper School Vocal Camp and A Capella Boot Camp)

A Capella Boot Camp, grades 9-12, July 23-27, 12:30-3pm, Lower School

Trinity’s Unaccompanied Minors members are highly encouraged to attend.

At this camp students will get a detailed course in all things pop a capella.

• Learn history of the genre and study some of the “greats”
• Intro to sound tech and mic technique
• Detailed work on vocal techniques of the genre
• Movement and performance presence
• Group building and tuning
• Work on a variety of fun repertoire
• Games and exercises to build many other skills and just enjoy fellowship through music
• Work with award-winning Vocal Percussionist, Sammy Pettite

Price: $50 (or $80 total for students who participate in both Upper School Vocal Camp and A Capella Boot Camp)

Bring water bottle, pencil, 1-inch binder (lunch, if full-day camper)

3D Printing Workshop 

July 16-20, 12:30-3:00 p.m.
Participants: Rising 7th graders through 12th graders (limit of 20 students)

Summary
In this workshop, students will be introduced to and trained on the Autodesk Inventor software in order to create and print three-dimensional objects. They will learn to create two-dimensional sketches on a work plane and to use the additive/subtractive methods of extrude, revolve, sweep, and loft to create three-dimensional objects from those two-dimensional sketches.

Students will also learn mirroring and patterning techniques to replicate geometric designs in two and three dimensions. If time permits, they will learn how to create assemblies by applying constraints to individually created part files. Through this workshop, students will gain a broader understanding of how mathematics, engineering, and art converge. At the end of the week, each student may print one of their 3D designs to take home as a souvenir.

2014-2017: Taught PLTW’s IED curriculum and designed a week-long 3D printing

Class of 2018 Highlights:

The Class of 2018 earned over $3 million in merit scholarship offers, for an average of more than $200,000 per student!

100% of graduates will attend college this fall.

College choices include: Belmont University, Eastern Kentucky University, Hanover College, Tulane University, United States Air Force Academy, University of Findlay, University of Kentucky, and Wake Forest University.

Over 80% received substantial scholarships (academic, athletic, community leadership, military)

About half scored 30 or above on the ACT; nearly 65% scored 27 or above

Summer Oil Painting Classes

Taught by Collette Gugeler, Trinity Christian Academy Upper School Art Teacher

Open to current Upper School students and parents.

Register for either morning or afternoon classes.

• Times:  10:00 am-12:00 pm (beginners preferably a.m.); or 1:00-3:00 pm
• Dates: June 26, 28; July 2, 10, 12, 17 (two make-up classes for summer travelers on July 19 and 24)
• Location:  Trinity Christian Academy Upper School Campus, 3601 Winthrop Drive, Art Room

Fee: $130 – Includes paints. Come to class with a beginner’s set of oil painting brushes, (1) 9 x 12 stretched canvas and (1) 8 x 10 artist canvas board, a rag or old cloth or hand towel, and a small empty jar (baby jar size) for  liquids. Art supplies can be purchased at Hobby Lobby.
