All School Picnic

It’s a back-to-school tradition! The All School Picnic is a great opportunity to join the whole Trinity family for a picnic dinner and a great time of community. 

Paper goods and fried chicken will be provided. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets and a cooler of drinks for your family.

Bring a side dish to share! (assigned by last name)
A – F: Dessert
G – P: Salad Dish (macaroni salad, potato salad, mixed greens salad, etc.)
R – Z : Vegetable Dish (baked beans, mashed potatoes, corn, etc.)

Titanwear will be available to purchase!

Midsummer Night’s Run

Several members of the Trinity Christian Family competed in the Midsummer Night’s Run this past Saturday in downtown Lexington. Almost 2,000 runners and walkers were in the field, including several current Cross Country team members, alumni, parents and siblings.  

In team competition, TeamTrinity was made up of current and former Trinity Cross Country members: Isaac Rowe, Jacob Coffey, Nicholas Rowe, and Elijah Cardona. They finished 6th out of 66 teams!

Individually, Jacob Coffey and Jenna Raye Hopper were our top Varsity performers while Graham Calihan was our top Lower School performer. Great job!

Important Dates

Here are some important dates during the first few weeks of school:

LOWER SCHOOL:

Monday, August 13:
 3:00-3:30 p.m. Early Learning Open House (PreK, Jr K, and K) – Bring your children’s supplies, meet the teacher, and visit your room.
 3:30–4:00 p.m. New Family Orientation in the Fellowship Hall with Mrs. White
 4:00–5:00 p.m. Ice Cream Social for New Families – We will be on the blacktop near the playground. Come and meet other new families and enjoy some ice cream!

Wednesday, August 15 – First day of School: Parents may visit the rooms and drop off supplies at the beginning of school. At 8:20, after visiting the classrooms, please come to the Fellowship Hall and have donuts and coffee with Mrs. White.

Thursday, August 16 – First Day of School for T/TH Full-Day PreK

Tuesday, August 21 – 7:00 p.m. “Meet the Teachers” Night at the Lower School (Parents Only)
Please meet in the church sanctuary for a brief meeting. After the meeting, you will be dismissed to your children’s classrooms.

Friday, September 7 – 5:30-8:30 p.m., All School Picnic, Lower School

October 1-6 – Homecoming Spirit Week (watch for details)

October 12, 15, 16 – Fall Break

UPPER SCHOOL:

Monday, August 13 – Ice Cream Social for all new families at the LS, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Monday, August 13 – 7th Grade and New Student Orientation at the US, 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Wednesday, August 15 – First day of School and Upper School Connect Day (see email for details)
Please bring books and supplies on the first day of school. We’ll take care of locker assignments and putting away belongings. Connect Day will start after we take care of business.

Thursday, August 23 – Upper School Meet the Teacher Night, 7:00 pm (Parents only) – Come and meet your students’ teachers and get a feel for their classes at school. Your will receive Important information and have an opportunity to have ask questions.

Friday, September 7 – All School Picnic, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Lower School

October 1-6 – Homecoming Spirit Week (watch for details)

October 12, 15, 16 – Fall Break
