Gathering of the Harvest

As we approach the holiday season, we have a wonderful opportunity to teach our children that it is more blessed to give than to receive.  Out of a thankful heart for the many blessings we receive from the Father, we can (and are commanded to) give to those who are less fortunate than we.

Each year, Trinity Christian Academy has collected food to help support a local ministry that serves those in need. This year’s recipient is once again the Salvation Army, a ministry that has a long history of providing assistance to anyone in need.

We will be gathering food for the Salvation Army Monday, October 30, through Friday, November 3.  At the Lower School every family will be designated as a Pilgrim or an Indian, and we have a lot of fun competing against one another to see which group wins by bringing in the most items.  All donated items need to be clearly marked with a “P” for Pilgrim and an “I” for Indian so that they can be counted correctly and assigned to the right team.

Click here to see if your family has been assigned to the Pilgrim or Indian team.

To get us off to the right start, all food items brought in on Monday will count DOUBLE points! Let’s give generously with cheerful hearts and to the glory of our Lord!

Etiquette Lunch for 8th graders

Every year, our 8th grade students learn about table manners and etiquette. Then they get to participate in a special lunch to practice their skills! Here are some photos from this year’s event.

Trinity Entrepreneur Group Recognized

Did you see this mention of Trinity Upper School students winning the regional trophy for the Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurial Challenge? Kentucky Living magazine recently highlighted the competition and included a picture from the Trinity team, which included Jonathan Tanaka, Preston Crouch, and Zach Kirkendall.

They created an upstart niche marketing company, called Zora, and presented their business plan in front of the Governor, Lt. Governor, and a panel of local Entrepreneur judges last spring.  A special thanks goes to parents Mark Tanaka and Chad Crouch for serving as the team’s Business Mentors!
