As we approach the holiday season, we have a wonderful opportunity to teach our children that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Out of a thankful heart for the many blessings we receive from the Father, we can (and are commanded to) give to those who are less fortunate than we.
Each year, Trinity Christian Academy has collected food to help support a local ministry that serves those in need. This year’s recipient is once again the Salvation Army, a ministry that has a long history of providing assistance to anyone in need.
We will be gathering food for the Salvation Army Monday, October 30, through Friday, November 3. At the Lower School every family will be designated as a Pilgrim or an Indian, and we have a lot of fun competing against one another to see which group wins by bringing in the most items. All donated items need to be clearly marked with a “P” for Pilgrim and an “I” for Indian so that they can be counted correctly and assigned to the right team.

To get us off to the right start, all food items brought in on Monday will count DOUBLE points! Let’s give generously with cheerful hearts and to the glory of our Lord!
